Making our gluten and dairy free waffles sugar free for my yeast cleanse was easy. The harder part came when I needed something to put on them. Our normal pure maple syrup was out. Instead, I pulled some blueberries out of the freezer and tossed them in the blender. I added a little bit of blueberry juice and pureed them. An old salad dressing bottle was the perfect holder for our new blueberry syrup, as my children refer to it. In fact, my children actually prefer pureed blueberries on their waffles over the real maple syrup.
